Here are some frequently asked questions asked by our customers, hopefully they may be some you've had !

  1. How do you keep the stainless steel braided hose from fraying when cutting it ? - Scott Travis

Cuttape cutfit

What you want to do is to mark the area in which you intend to cut, then wrap that area with masking tape or duct tape. At this time you can make your cut through the tape and the hose, when finished the excess tape left on the two hose ends should keep the stainless braid in place until you are ready to mount your hose ends .

  2. Is there anyway to keep from scratching the anodizing off the hose ends when installing them ? -Greg Mathews

wrenches

Yes, when dealing with anodized hose ends you must remember that they are made from aluminum, which is a very soft metal that tends to scratch very easy when using steel wrenches . We have a set of custom made wrenches made by Earl's Performance Products that can be ordered to take care of this problem .

  3. Do you make a brake line kit for off- road vehicles ? - Rick Sinclair

We really don't make kits for any application, everyone's vehicle has it's own needs and we take plumbing those vehicles very seriously, helping you get that custom performance plumbed fit is what we're after, at no additional cost to the customer .

  4. What does A.N. stand for when dealing with hose ends ?- Troy Alderman

The A.N. stands for Army / Navy this is where this type of hardware originated from . The military and space programs were very influential in the technology of high end plumbing systems .

  5. How do I know which size cooler is best for me ? - John LeVan

coolerbw

To best determine which cooler is best for your situation is to call us so we can access what temperature you want your oil or water to be at and cooler placement will also determine at what your temperature may be at .
