CACCHIO AND DEELEY GUNDOG TRAINING SEMINARS,
bringing the best in professional expertise to you and your sporting breed.

Learning from the Best
Ray Cacchio and Martin Deeley

Only a handful of professional trainers work with these "other" breeds and teach owners how to train them to be good gundogs for companion shooting, hunt tests or just to be good dogs. Many people who may not hunt, are interested in learning more about the working style of their dog.

Introducing people to this world requires patient teachers who must teach them not only methods of gundog training, but often about hunting and fieldwork generally.

Ray Cacchio and Martin Deeley, are international, professional gundog trainers who recognize the capacity and working styles of flushing spaniel and retriever breeds. Using their vast skills and experience as trainers and teachers, they guide owner/handlers so they better understand their dog so they reach their goal of having a fine, working gundog.

Martin Deeley waits to run at a Retriever Field Trial.

Interactive, hands-on programs, the CACCHIO AND DEELEY GUNDOG TRAINING SEMINARS offer flushing spaniel and retriever owners the opportunity to learn from the finest experience. Whether you are an hunter, breeder, fancier or judge--understanding how your dogs works benefits your entire breed.

These breeds include:

Clumber Spaniels
English Cocker Spaniels
American Cocker Spaniels
Welsh Spaniels
Boykin Spaniels
English Springer Spaniels
Field Spaniels
Sussex Spaniels
American Water Spaniel
Portuguese Water Spaniel.

Labrador Retrievers
Golden Retrievers
Curly Coated Retrievers
Duck Tolling Retrievers
Flat Coated Retrievers
Chesapeake Bay Retrievers
Irish Water Spaniels
Poodles

Participants work with the Instructors, one-on-one, many times throughout the seminar. Each program requires three full days that begin at 9 am and end at 4 pm. All participants observe as the Instructors work with each person and their dog, so they learn the methods and theory behind each example in a variety of applications and situations. Participants are encouraged to ask questions throughout the seminar. Live birds are used and lessons include land and water exercises.
