Heartbeat of Eternity
I went to the wilderness
In search of something
I did not know existed.
I went to the waterfall
Spring runoff had created.
I stood until I heard it:
The heartbeat of eternity,
The surge and rush
So like the human heart.
My pulse soon assumed
Eternity’s heartbeat,
Creating a feeling of peace
I never dreamed existed.
