He is a giant among us--
A man who, as a teenager,
Commanded an entire fire crew;
Who once soared aloft
With the legendary Bob Johnson;
Fished with the renowned Joe Brooks;
A man who, in his seventies,
Puts younger mortals to shame
With his astonishing resiliency,
His boundless enthusiasm
Like those legends before him,
His name is rightly revered
