I just started my Kite Aerial Photography in 2005.
From the ground, I've been taking pictures of trains and industrial topics for 30 years. My kite costs very little in comparison to an airplane ride. I work at lower heights than they do, and can work a lot closer to the subject. When the wind is steady, the camera 'hover' time is great.

From the many web sites I've found, I would guess there are maybe 1500 people around the world doing KAP.
I don't have multi-language pages like some people do.
I'lI have to make up for that by using pictures.
My home is near Stevens POINT in the state of Wisconsin in the U.S.A.
My area has a lot of variety;
there are flat sand plains, cranberry bogs, glacial hills and mounds, one mountain, and the Wisconsin River.
And a few hours away to the west is the Mississippi River, and Lake Michigan to the east.
I have the next 30 years to create some scenic aerial views.
This is only a hobby for me.
A few other people in my state do KAP; one is in Green Bay (not active?), the other is in Madison, both 90 miles away. And in the Twin Cities is MNkiteman, a very accomplished KAPer, I've seen his pictures on the web.
